Please join TJMHC for a gallery chat on April 9th, where we explore the unique Israeli decorative arts of Pal-Bell. Pal-Bell was an Israeli decorative arts manufacturing company known for bronze and brass decorative art and functional items. Pal-Bell is the epitome of Israeliana— the material culture that comes from objects, souvenirs, and memorabilia produced in Israel. This exploration of Israeliana is brought to us through the corkscrew driven mind of Robert Leopardi and his unique collection. Robert has been collecting antique corkscrews and other items of Israeliana for over four decades. This gallery chat with Robert will be a deep dive into the corkscrews produced by Jewish émigrés who left Europe in between World War I and World War II, with a special look at the work of Maurice Ascalon who founded Pal-Bell.
This gallery chat is free to attend, but registration is required. Please register with the button below.
