Join TJMHC for the second of a two-part dinner dialogue series with Jews for a Secular Democracy. This evening we will explore religious nationalism and immigration policy. We will discuss the influence of religion, and specifically white Christian nationalism, in shaping immigration policy and public life.
Grounded in shared readings and guided dialogue, this dinner conversation will explore how religious identity, national identity, and democratic values can become dangerously entangled, and what that means for pluralism, equal citizenship, and the future of American democracy. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of the stakes of today’s immigration debates and the civic responsibility required to protect democracy for all.
